  • Partnership. We have a long history of generating new business lines and fresh-thinking, both here in Australia and overseas. That's why we encourage you to originate and pursue new ideas — and recognise and reward entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Innovation. We're the company that delivered award-winning innovations like Pay as You Drive, with more ground-breaking solutions in the pipeline. By joining us, you'll have the opportunity to create and develop the new ideas that will shape the Australian insurance market for years to come.
  • Accountability. We believe in empowering our people, giving them the autonomy they need to deliver outstanding value, with processes and systems designed to support innovation, not stifle it. So if you have a great idea, you can put it into action, then see your achievements celebrated and rewarded.
  • Inclusion. We believe that diversity and inclusion strengthens all areas of our business by leveraging off the diverse characteristics of our people. This is grounded in our DNA; People Changing Insurance whereby we are committed to promoting and fostering equal opportunities in all areas of Hollard.

We embrace, leverage and respect the diversity of our employees, customers and communities in which we live, work and contribute.

Diversity and Inclusion at Hollard

"Our Journey towards 'Bigger, Better, Best', and building a 'Positive Business, means we see diversity and inclusion as our core strength. It's not just a box we tick. We strive to nurture diversity of thought and equity in everything we do - so to help embed an environment of psychological safety and cognitive diversity for each other and our customers. From our Board and management team, to our Diversity Council and full time Senior Diversity and Inclusions Officer, we are all committed to creating a safe and inclusive workplace."

Richard Enthoven, Hollard Group CEO

Hollard formalised its commitment to diversity and inclusion in 2015. We proudly became a member of the Diversity Council of Australia, and developed a three-year roadmap targeting accessibility, gender, equality, LGBTI and mental health, along with pay equity, flexible work arrangements, domestic family violence and unconscious bias. Hollard is determined to enable our staff (whom we affectionately call our "Hollardites") to bring their whole selves to work, to perform at their best.

Gender Equality

Hollard is committed to advancing women in the workplace, including those in leadership positions. We are striving to achieve gender equality within leadership by 2023. Currently, half of both Hollard's Board and Group CEO's direct reports are women. Also, in 2018 more than 60% of Hollardites enjoyed some level of a flexible work arrangement, allowing them to have a work environment that works best for the needs of both the business and themselves. We have also partnered with White Ribbon Australia and are working towards White Ribbon accreditation, to create a safer and more respectful work environment for women, along with providing leading practice avenues of support for women impacted by domestic violence.

LGBTI

Hollard is committed to supporting Hollardites of diverse sex, sexuality and gender. We have partnered with Pride in Diversity and are currently working towards submitting our first Australian Workplace Equality Index. All our policies and benefits are inclusive of LGBTI partners and families, including the implementation of policies and guidelines for transgender people pre, mid and post transition. Our Allies Network was launched in August 2018.

Mental Health

Hollard is committed to ensuring the wellbeing of all Hollardites in the workplace, removing stigma and promoting awareness around mental health and wellness. We are currently in the process of conducting Lifeline's Accidental Counsellor training for all Hollardites.

Accessibility

Hollard is committed to hiring and retaining the best and most highly skilled people including those who live with disability. We have partnered with the Australian Network on Disability and are currently working towards becoming a Disability Confident Recruiter. Reasonable workplace adjustments are available for all Hollardites to perform their role, as well as candidates in the recruitment process to enable them to participate in the interview and selection process.
